Straw-structure pellets are high-quality compressed pellets made from natural, untreated straw, used as bedding for horses, small animals, and other livestock. They are especially absorbent, odor-binding, and environmentally friendly.

How are straw-structure pellets used correctly?

The pellets are spread in the box, and upon contact with moisture, they expand and form a soft, absorbent bedding layer. Dirty spots should be removed regularly, and fresh pellets added as needed.

How many pellets are needed for one box?

For a standard horse box (approx. 9 m²), about 6–7 kilograms per square meter are needed for the initial setup. Afterwards, 1–2 kilograms per week are sufficient for maintenance.

Where are the straw-structure pellets produced?

Strohly straw-structure pellets are produced locally in Saxony, ensuring short transport routes and sustainable production.

Can I also use the straw-structure pellets for poultry?

Yes, the pellets are also ideal for poultry as they are hygienic, absorbent, and easy to clean.

How is the delivery handled?

Depending on the order, the straw-structure pellets are delivered by the pallet or loose in a big bag. Pickup is also possible at our warehouses in Neukirchen and Barntrupp. Delivery is fast and reliable via parcel service or freight carrier, depending on the quantity.

Are the straw-structure pellets compostable?

Yes, the pellets are 100% biodegradable and can be composted without any issues. They can easily be used as fertilizer in the fields.
